What you’ll learn

Learning objectives

  1. Apply the range’s safety rules and demonstrate safe rifle handling, loading, unloading, and cease-fire procedures.
  2. Identify the rifle, optic, support equipment, and ammunition variables that affect consistency.
  3. Build a repeatable prone position and understand natural point of aim, body alignment, recoil management, and follow-through.
  4. Confirm a zero and record a simple, organized data log under instructor supervision.
  5. Explain the difference between a zero, point of impact, trajectory, and a ballistic prediction, including the limits of calculators and assumptions.
